Economic efficiency of triple-effect evaporators

Triple-effect evaporators are widely used in industrial wastewater treatment, wastewater concentration, material concentration, material crystallization, and environmental protection industries due to their economic and energy-saving properties. I. Triple-Effect Evaporator Principle

Evaporators are common evaporation equipment in the evaporation and chemical industries. Their applications are numerous, and the types are gradually increasing with the development of the evaporation industry.

Multi-effect evaporation uses the secondary steam generated in the previous effect as the heat source for the next effect. While this saves on live steam to some extent, the first effect still needs to provide a continuous supply of live steam, and the secondary steam from the last effect needs to be condensed with condensate. This not only incurs the cost of condensate but also wastes a significant amount of latent heat of steam.

A triple-effect evaporator is a type of multi-effect evaporator. It is a series evaporation device that uses the secondary steam from the previous effect as the heating steam for the next effect. In multi-effect evaporation, the operating pressure, corresponding heating and evaporation temperature, and solution boiling point decrease sequentially for each effect.

Triple-effect evaporators have lower energy consumption, longer product residence time, larger temperature differences, and less impact on product quality.

II. Evaporator Energy Consumption Analysis

Evaporator energy consumption analysis, considering the water quality characteristics of the enterprise, assuming a processing capacity of 5T/H, a local steam price of 180 yuan/ton, 24-hour operation per day, and 330 operating days per year, calculates that a triple-effect evaporator requires 0.3 tons of fresh steam to evaporate 1T of water.

Triple-effect evaporator consumption: 0.3 * 5 * 180 * 24 * 330 = 2,138,400 yuan (excluding electricity and cooling water consumption).

III. Economic Efficiency of Triple-Effect Evaporators

Based on the energy consumption analysis of triple-effect evaporators, including electricity, water, and operational conditions, it can be seen that triple-effect evaporators are economical and align with the enterprise's goals of energy conservation, emission reduction, and green development.

The application of triple-effect evaporators can create more value and benefits for enterprises.
