The 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel MVR Evaporator is a high-efficiency, energy-saving evaporation system engineered for highly corrosive, high-chloride media. The main process contact parts are constructed from 2205 duplex stainless steel, which combines the toughness of austenitic stainless steel with the high strength and stress corrosion cracking resistance of ferritic grades. It significantly outperforms conventional 304/316L in chloride-containing environments. Utilizing Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) technology, the system uses only a small amount of electrical energy to achieve energy self-circulation for the evaporation process, making it ideal for concentrating and crystallizing high-salinity, highly corrosive solutions in the chemical, new energy, and environmental protection sectors.
Preheated feed liquid enters the evaporator and boils at a low temperature under negative pressure, generating secondary vapor. This vapor is drawn into a compressor, where its pressure and temperature are increased, and then returned to the heating chamber as a heating medium. It transfers latent heat to the material and condenses into clean condensate. The process requires no continuous external live steam, drastically reducing energy consumption. In high-chloride service, the dual-phase microstructure of 2205 duplex stainless steel effectively resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, ensuring long-term, reliable operation.
Steam Compressor: Centrifugal or Roots-type, with a temperature lift of 8–18°C, upgrading secondary vapor efficiently.
2205 Duplex Evaporator Body: Comprising a shell-and-tube heating chamber and a separation chamber with high-efficiency demister. All product- contacted parts are fabricated from 2205 material for exceptional chloride corrosion resistance.
Vacuum System: Maintains negative pressure, lowers the boiling point, and suits heat-sensitive materials while reducing scaling risk.
Circulation Pump: Forced circulation design increases in-tube velocity, minimizes scaling, and ensures consistent heat transfer efficiency.
Condenser & Non-Condensable Gas System: Stabilizes system pressure; condensate is recoverable for reuse, achieving a clean closed loop.
Superior Corrosion Resistance: With a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) exceeding 34, 2205 duplex stainless steel far outperforms 316L, making it the ideal choice for handling high-salinity, acidic, and chloride-laden wastewater.
Ultra-High Energy Efficiency: Consumes only 20–80 kWh per ton of water evaporated, substantially reducing long-term operating costs.
Low-Temperature Operation: Operates at temperatures as low as 60°C, effectively preserving heat-sensitive components and mitigating corrosion and scaling.
Sealed, Zero-Discharge Design: No waste vapor emission, almost no cooling water required; condensate can be discharged or reused in compliance with stringent environmental regulations.
Compact & Intelligent: Modular design saves over 50% footprint; fully automatic PLC/DCS control with remote monitoring and unattended operation capability.
