Product Overview

The absorption tower is gasliquid mass transfer processing equipment widely used in chemical, environmental protection, pharmaceutical and newmaterial industries. It performs gas purification, wastegas absorption, component separation, gas scrubbing and tailgas recovery. With packing or tray internals inside the tower and circulating spray systems, target components can be dissolved, adsorbed or neutralized during masstransfer. It serves as core unit equipment for wastegas treatment and chemical separation processes.

Working Principle

Raw process gas enters from the lower gas inlet and flows upward through trays or packing beds. Absorbent liquid is sprayed evenly from the top of tower and flows downward. Gas and liquid make full countercurrent contact. Target gas components are captured and dissolved by absorbent to realize gasliquid masstransfer separation. Purified gas discharges through the top outlet. The soluteloaded liquid collects at tower bottom, which can be discharged or recirculated to the top by circulation pump. Parameters including temperature, pressure, liquid level and spray flow rate are monitored in realtime to guarantee stable and efficient absorption performance.

Core Components

· Tower Body: Integral or welded shell, optionally with jacket heatexchange structure, providing contact space for gasliquid phase and meeting pressurebearing & anticorrosion requirements.

· Internals (Packing / Trays): Pall ring, cascade miniring, structured corrugated packing, sieve tray, valve tray and other options to enlarge contact area and improve masstransfer efficiency.

· Spray Assembly: Spray nozzles, liquid distributors and redistributors for uniform liquid distribution and prevent channeling or maldistribution.

· Drive & Demisting Unit: Demister (vanetype / wiremesh demister) removes liquid droplets entrained in outlet gas; stirredtype models are equipped with motor and reducer.

· Circulation System: Circulation pump, pipelines and valves for absorbent circulation spray, liquid supplement and drainage.

· Control System: Equipped with temperature, pressure, liquidlevel and flow sensors, together with PLC/DCS system for automatic monitoring and adjustment of process parameters.
